Acceptance of terms
By requesting a quote, booking a visit or approving work with HomeHavenWorks, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. These terms apply to all home improvement, renovation, repair and maintenance work we carry out.
These terms form a binding agreement between you (the property owner, or the person authorised to act on the owner's behalf) and HomeHavenWorks. If you are booking work on a property you rent or co-own, you confirm that you have the owner's or co-owner's permission for the work described in your quote. Our team may ask for proof of authority on larger projects.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection law. Where a term conflicts with a legal right you cannot waive, the law takes priority and the rest of these terms continue to apply.
Our services
We provide home renovation, repairs and maintenance, and painting and exterior care. The exact scope of each job is set out in your written quote. Anything outside that scope is treated as extra work and needs your approval first.
Every project begins with a site visit or a detailed conversation so that we understand the condition of the property, your goals and your budget. From there we prepare a written scope that lists the tasks, materials, finishes and expected timeline. Sample colours, fixtures and materials are shown for guidance only, and the final product supplied may vary slightly in shade, texture or brand where an equivalent is needed.
Some work, such as structural changes, electrical rewiring or roofing, may require permits or approvals from local authorities or your building society. We can guide you through the process, but the responsibility for obtaining owner and society permissions remains with you unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
- Plumbing, electrical, AC and general repairs
- Kitchen, bathroom and living space renovation
- Painting, waterproofing, roofing and flooring
- Seasonal maintenance plans
Quotes & estimates
Quotes are free and valid for 30 days from the date issued. Prices are based on the information and site conditions we see at the time. If we uncover hidden issues once work begins, such as rotten timber or faulty wiring, we will explain the problem and give you a revised price before continuing.
A quote is a fixed price only for the work and materials it lists. Where a job is difficult to price without opening up walls, floors or ceilings, we may give a provisional estimate and confirm a fixed price once the hidden areas are inspected. Estimates given verbally are not binding, so please ask us to confirm anything important in writing.
Work begins only after you approve the quote by signing it or confirming it by message or email. Any change you request afterwards, such as a different tile, an extra socket or a larger area to paint, will be priced separately and added to the agreed total only with your consent.
Payments
Unless your quote says otherwise, larger projects are paid in stages: an advance to book the work and materials, progress payments at agreed milestones, and the balance on completion. Small repairs are paid when the job is finished.
Our invoices show a clear breakdown of labour, materials and any approved extras, so you can see exactly what you are paying for. Payments can be made by bank transfer, UPI, card or cash, and we will issue a receipt for every payment received. Please do not pay any individual team member directly unless they hand you an official receipt from HomeHavenWorks.
If an invoice remains unpaid beyond the due date, we may pause further work until the balance is cleared, and we reserve the right to charge reasonable interest on overdue amounts. If you believe an invoice is wrong, please contact us within 5 days of receiving it, and we will review it promptly and fairly.
- Invoices are due within 7 days of being issued.
- Late payments may delay ongoing work.
- Materials remain our property until they are paid for in full.
Scheduling & access
We agree a start date and an expected timeline with you, and we work hard to keep to both. Weather, material delays or hidden issues can occasionally move a date, and we will tell you as early as possible. Someone aged 18 or over should be present or reachable when our team arrives.
Our teams arrive during the agreed time window, carry identification, and keep the work area as tidy as possible throughout the job. We protect floors, furniture and fittings with covers and sheets where needed, and we clear away debris at the end of each working day and again on completion.
If we arrive and cannot get access to the property, or if the work area is not ready as agreed, we may charge a reasonable call-out fee to cover the time and travel. Where the delay is caused by us, we will not charge you and will rebook the visit at the earliest available slot.
Your responsibilities
- Give accurate details about the job and the property.
- Provide safe access to the work area, plus water and power where needed.
- Move fragile or valuable items out of the work area.
- Tell us about pets, hazards or building restrictions in advance.
Workmanship warranty
We stand behind our work. If a defect in our workmanship appears within 12 months of completion, we will return and correct it at no charge.
To make a warranty claim, contact us with a description of the problem and, if possible, a few photographs. We will inspect the issue and, where it falls under the warranty, schedule a repair at a time convenient for you. Repair work is itself covered for the remainder of the original warranty period or for 90 days, whichever is longer.
Regular upkeep helps your work last, so the warranty assumes reasonable care and maintenance by the owner. Our optional maintenance plans include periodic inspections that can identify small issues early and keep your home in good condition.
Good communication makes projects smoother. Please tell us promptly about any change in your plans, any concern about progress or quality, and anything that might affect the schedule, such as family events, travel or building rules that limit working hours. Raising an issue early gives us the chance to put it right before it becomes larger or more expensive.
On completion, we will walk you through the finished work and ask you to confirm that it matches the agreed scope. If you notice a defect or an unfinished item during this walkthrough, we will note it and complete it without delay. Using the finished area signals your acceptance of the work, subject to the warranty below.
Cancellations & rescheduling
You can reschedule or cancel a booking free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice. Later cancellations may incur a call-out fee. If you cancel after work has started, you pay for the work completed and any materials already ordered.
If we need to reschedule because of illness, severe weather or an unavoidable emergency, we will let you know as soon as possible and offer the next available date. We are not liable for costs arising from such rescheduling, but we will always try to keep the disruption to a minimum.
Either party may end an ongoing project if the other fails to meet a material obligation and does not correct it within 7 days of written notice. In that case, we will invoice fairly for completed work and materials, and hand over any completed work and paid-for materials in their current state.
Limitation of liability
Our team is trained, and our work is carried out with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the affected work. We are not responsible for delays or damage caused by events outside our control, or for issues that already existed and were not disclosed to us.
HomeHavenWorks holds appropriate insurance for the services it provides. We take reasonable precautions to protect your property, and we will repair or compensate for damage that is directly caused by our negligence, up to the limit described above. Please report any damage as soon as you notice it so that we can investigate while the circumstances are fresh.
We cannot be held responsible for loss of use, loss of income or indirect losses resulting from a delay or defect, except where the law does not allow us to exclude such liability. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Privacy
We collect only the details we need to quote, schedule and carry out your job, such as your name, contact information and address. We do not sell your information. We share it only with team members and partners who need it to complete your work, or when the law requires it.
Photographs or videos taken during a project may be used to record progress, resolve disputes and support warranty claims. We will only use images of your home in our portfolio, website or social media with your permission, and we will never show your full address or personal details.
We keep your information only for as long as needed to deliver the service, meet legal or accounting requirements and honour warranty obligations. You may ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to those requirements.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Work already agreed in a written quote stays under the terms in force when you accepted it.
If we make a significant change to these terms, we will highlight it on this page and, where appropriate, notify existing customers by email. Continuing to use our services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. If you disagree with a change, you are welcome to contact us to discuss your concerns.
These terms are governed by the laws of the country and state in which we operate. Any dispute that cannot be settled informally will be handled by the local courts, although we would always prefer to resolve concerns through an open and friendly conversation first.
